Letters- Love for our Seniors
Make a Senior’s day with April being the National Card and Letter Writing Month!
Do you know of a Senior that is lonely and is in need of a card? The month of April is National Card and Letter Writing Month, which seems like the perfect time to brighten someone’s day, Especially with the upcoming holiday of Mother’s day being right around the corner! Why not write a handwritten letter to someone you care about, or to someone you know could use a boost? It doesn’t even have to be a holiday card. Just a handwritten note saying, how much you appreciate and care for your Senior.
If you know of a senior citizen who could use some cheering up, maybe you could send them a card or a letter just to let them know someone is thinking about them!
You could write about any or all of these topics:
- How you met.
- Fond memories of them.
- A funny shared moment.
- What you love most about them.
- How they inspire you.
What should I include in my letter?
- First, include a warm greeting!
- Secondly, introduce yourself and include a positive and uplifting message.
- Also, you can include a personal story, a question, drawing, joke, or your favorite memory.
