How can I celebrate the 4th of July with my Senior at Home?
Fourth of July is a fun way to celebrate our country and to get together to celebrate! For many home – bound Seniors, it might be difficult for them to enjoy the holiday. We understand that as a caregiver, it can be hard to come up with different ideas to do with your loved one.
Do not stress! We are here to help you as a caregiver! For this blog post, we will feature the 4th of July activities that you can have you and your loved one to do together! We have put together a guide to show how one can celebrate with their loved ones.
Festive and Fun Activities to do with your loved one!
- Our first recommended activity is to watch a 4th of July parade from the comfort of your home! YouTube is a great resource to show your loved one live videos of events from across the country, so they can enjoy the festivities.
- Our second recommended activity is to gather the family to visit them on that day! Sometimes the simple moments in life are the most enjoyable for your Senior! Also, it will brighten their day that you visited them and spent time with them.
- Our third recommend activity is to have fun and have them do Fourth of July bingo with the winner getting an extra slice of pie!

- 4th of July Karaoke – Have your Senior sing out loud to their favorite patriotic songs! This will help them with memory recall and they will have a blast while doing it!
